Carlow Youth Training is a community-based Training Centre, offering quality training and self-development. We are committed to ensuring that our learners are afforded the opportunity to develop to their full potential. Training shall meet the needs of our learners and will encourage progression, leading to enhanced employment prospects, in a supportive community environment.
Carlow Youth Training is co-funded by the Government of Ireland, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
Our team of professional instructors offer courses which equip learners with skills to assist them in seeking employment and developing their career.
Carlow Youth Training provides learners with a range of level 1 and level 2 courses which provides clients with range of certificates including qualifications in gym instruction, beauty therapy, hair dressing and barbering.
Over the years we have equipped a range of young people with the necessary skills and confidence to help them successfully seek meaningful employment. Some of our previous students have shared their experiences with us.
Training and certification leading to both QQI awards and VTCT awards
QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) is an awarding body. They validate education and training programmes and make extensive awards in the Further Education and Training sector including in the Education and Training Boards.
VTCT (Vocational Training and Charitable Trust) is a leading international awarding organisation. All of the VTCT courses we offer are at NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) Level 2 which map across to QQI Level 4 on the NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications)
